Jean-Marie Van Bever came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 England's Jamal Higgins. But to his dismay, Jamal Higgins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Karel-Jan Beaufort sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennie Rusby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, U21 England's Lennie Rusby got control of the ball when Karel-Jan Beaufort tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gust Rammer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennie Rusby having to interfere. Jean-Marie Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alastair Dunn, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Alastair Dunn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jean-Marie Van Bever was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. U21 Belgium's Zé Roberto van Beek was substituted for Cederique Jamieson. In the 31st minute, Karel-Jan Beaufort hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Ross in the 32nd minute of play forced U21 Belgium's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Van Bever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to U21 Belgium getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Gust Rammer hit a great ball. In the 38th minute, Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jamal Higgins in the 53rd minute of play forced U21 Belgium's goalkeeper Jean-Marie Van Bever to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 54 played minutes U21 England got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Moss. Lennie Rusby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of U21 Belgium booed when U21 England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Moss didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lennie Rusby saved U21 England from getting behind. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt sped through U21 England's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lennie Rusby. 62 minutes into the game, one of U21 England:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lennie Rusby had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Gust Rammer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. U21 Belgium's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Matty Tinker scored to the left of an out of position Jean-Marie Van Bever, making the score, 2-3. Jean-Marie Van Bever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matty Tinker in the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Quillian Cromefeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lennie Rusby. U21 England's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Quillian Cromefeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The supporters of U21 England booed when U21 Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Stuijckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matty Tinker hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. U21 Belgium's Jean-Marie Van Bever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Ross in the 87th minute of play. Karel-Jan Beaufort received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lennie Rusby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean-Marie Van Bever showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matty Tinker, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Jean-Marie Van Bever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matty Tinker in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, U21 England's Jan Thomas got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Lennie Rusby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quillian Cromefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Marie Van Bever made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matty Tinker in the 98th minute. U21 Belgium succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though U21 England had controlled the match.
