Maximo Gonzo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Duro de Roer AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Capitan Beto:s goal. The throw-in from Elias Cordario in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Capitan Beto's Laureano Giraldo. In the 24th minute, Ramon Richie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Gonzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Ramon Richie struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Maximo Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capitan Beto. Maximo Gonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Richie, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Arnoldo Bikendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elvio Opilano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Ramon Richie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximo Gonzo. Duro de Roer AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramon Richie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After 41 minutes of play, Capitan Beto's Ramon Richie made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Gonzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the Duro de Roer AFC defense, Ramon Richie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Gonzo. The Duro de Roer AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Gonzo should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Ramon Richie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximo Gonzo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Ramon Richie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Gonzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. After 64 minutes of play, Capitan Beto's Ramon Richie made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximo Gonzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 minutes, Ramon Richie made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Duro de Roer AFC's Maximo Gonzo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramon Richie received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Maximo Gonzo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramon Richie slotted it home off the left post making it 0-12 in the 70th minute. Maximo Gonzo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Richie's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Maximo Gonzo came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Capitan Beto's Ramon Richie. But to his dismay, Ramon Richie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-13. Ramon Richie might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Gonzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Richie ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Richie in the 79th minute of play forced Duro de Roer AFC's goalkeeper Maximo Gonzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximo Gonzo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ramon Richie showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 80 minute of play. In the 84th minute, Ramon Richie made a precise shot to the right of Maximo Gonzo. Duro de Roer AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-15. In the 87th minute, Ramon Richie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximo Gonzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-16. Ramon Richie might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximo Gonzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Richie ran back to his position shaking his head.
