The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Cobresal's Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea got control of the ball when Eustacio Casos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 15th minute of the match Toqui Fc got a corner. Cobresal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luiz Massa ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 17th minute Luiz Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Scapini in the 18th minute of play forced Toqui Fc's goalkeeper Tigran Khachaturyan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustacio Casos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Cobresal's Danilo Diaz de Valdes got a free kick in the 22nd minute.
