The supporters of VERDE NILO booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Gipuzkoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Morandé came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cobresal's Gregorio Quintero. But to his dismay, Gregorio Quintero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. VERDE NILO's Arnaldo Morandé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Diaz de Valdes in the 26th minute of play. Arnaldo Morandé didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gregorio Quintero went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Arnaldo Morandé showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorio Quintero, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 40 minutes into the match, VERDE NILO's goal looked a bit too open when Dino Scapini came free, but Arnaldo Morandé reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Morandé showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregorio Quintero in the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half Cobresal were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gustavo Canales to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes VERDE NILO got a freekick which was hit by Florinio Pavez. A collision led to VERDE NILO getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Emanuel Jodar hit a great ball. In the 60th match minute, Cobresal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arneil Kurth to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Gregorio Quintero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo Morandé. VERDE NILO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Quintero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregorio Quintero in the 68th minute of play forced VERDE NILO's goalkeeper Arnaldo Morandé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregorio Quintero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Arnaldo Morandé made a huge save. Cobresal's Gregorio Quintero got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cobresal made a substitution. Octavio Bourchier replaced Danilo Diaz de Valdes. 82 minutes into the match, Cobresal's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Canales came free, but Horacio Jesus Urruticoechea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Cobresal's Arnaldo Morandé threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dino Scapini, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
