In the 2nd minute, Octavio Samaniego ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tigran Khachaturyan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. César Bertrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Cullen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Bertrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Massa in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Toqui Fc's Luiz Massa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 15th minute, Israel Hernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dennis Trillkott hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Valentín Bello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s César Bertrand got control of the ball when Miguel Duñabeitia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th minute Israel Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Bertrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eustacio Casos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving César Bertrand. That made the score 2-1 in the 35 minute of play. After 45 played minutes Ornitorrincos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Reces Bacheler. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duardo Pruniel to make the kick off. César Bertrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Bertrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Cullen in the 55th minute of play. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s César Bertrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Hernandez in the 58th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duardo Pruniel got free with Tigran Khachaturyan in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Ornitorrincos F.C. defense, Israel Hernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Bertrand. The Ornitorrincos F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Bertrand should have stopped the shot. In the 76th minute Israel Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Bertrand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. César Bertrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Casos in the 79th minute of play. César Bertrand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustacio Casos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toqui Fc made a substitution. Germán Alen replaced Luiz Massa. Toqui Fc's Felipo Navarrete was substituted for Kurt Gerdberg. The corner led Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Jaume Jarabran to fire away a dangerous shot which Tigran Khachaturyan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
