After 40 played minutes FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a freekick which was hit by Lucero Liendo. When Gong Ao Guang came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the C.A. Peñarol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gong Ao Guang couldn't finish the play. 44 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Peake came free, but Xaiver Rosende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Baumar Ontanilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Rosende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gong Ao Guang was the one to do the kick off. Serbülent Baysan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gong Ao Guang in the 55th minute of the match. Gong Ao Guang might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serbülent Baysan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gong Ao Guang ran back to his position shaking his head. Xaiver Rosende made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Vitaliy Fedchenko sent off a good shot on target. After 65th play minutes Victorino Peake shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Xaiver Rosende and just under the crossbar into goal. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Eufemio Ehijo was substituted for Vitaliy Fedchenko. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gong Ao Guang in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serbülent Baysan saved FC Anderlecht Huachipato from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victorino Peake in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. Serbülent Baysan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Infante, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Alberto-Federico Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Rosende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Velin in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Serbülent Baysan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C.A. Peñarol's Anselmo Velin got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Xaiver Rosende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorino Peake. 89 minutes into the match, C.A. Peñarol's Anselmo Velin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serbülent Baysan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eufemio Ehijo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Xaiver Rosende made a huge save. C.A. Peñarol's Goran Lindegger managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lucero Liendo in the 94 minute of the game. Anselmo Velin struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Serbülent Baysan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Peñarol. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented C.A. Peñarol from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
