Koldobika Aponte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. U21 Colombia's Koldobika Aponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loreto Turienzo in the 10th minute of play. Mario Alberto Yepes kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, U21 Uruguay's Loreto Turienzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Koldobika Aponte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Victor Hugo Aristizábal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pelayo Villoldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. U21 Colombia's Koldobika Aponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loreto Turienzo in the 19th minute of play. Antonio Salmanton kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Pelayo Villoldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hugo Aristizábal in the 26th minute of play. After a rather tough play, U21 Uruguay's Mateo Antoni got a free kick in the 27th minute. Koldobika Aponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loreto Turienzo in the 28th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wesley Sneijder during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wesley Sneijder kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42ndth minute of the game Victor Hugo Aristizábal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Uruguay's Pelayo Villoldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Loreto Turienzo came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the U21 Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loreto Turienzo couldn't finish the play. After the first half U21 Uruguay were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

U21 Colombia made a substitution. Tibalt Bruna replaced Lucio Negrete. U21 Colombia's Sonic Ball was substituted for Wesley Sneijder. The wind increased when Baba Ba made the kick off in the second half. Mario Alberto Yepes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Pelayo Villoldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tibalt Bruna, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 58 minutes of play, U21 Colombia's Tibalt Bruna made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pelayo Villoldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Uruguay's Ederono Ojero was substituted for Loreto Turienzo. Sonic Ball recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pelayo Villoldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baba Ba in the 69th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Koldobika Aponte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 76 minutes into the match, U21 Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Baba Ba came free, but Pelayo Villoldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of U21 Colombia booed when U21 Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ederono Ojero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute Baba Ba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelayo Villoldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Baba Ba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pelayo Villoldo was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Pelayo Villoldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baba Ba, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Xines Ruidiaz hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Ederono Ojero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Koldobika Aponte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelayo Villoldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibalt Bruna in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the game, Ederono Ojero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Koldobika Aponte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U21 Uruguay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
