Sztorm Keflavik FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lövnäs BK the free kick. After 31 played minutes Sztorm Keflavik FC got a freekick which was hit by Dagfari Ægisson. A collision led to Sztorm Keflavik FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Loki Jónasson hit a great ball. Leo Pil kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Tor Grönberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loki Jónasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Oliver Adolfsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sztorm Keflavik FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Steinn Bjarmason had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Erik Walmarsson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gunnar Carlsson was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Lövnäs BK's Rolf Wahlnäs got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tor Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinröður Hansson in the 57th minute of play. Játgeir Jóngeirsson hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Sztorm Keflavik FC's Tor Grönberg threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Steinröður Hansson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 65th minute, Viktor Nässén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tor Grönberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Játgeir Jóngeirsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, Lövnäs BK's goal looked a bit too open when Heiðrekur Vilmarsson came free, but Tor Grönberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Steinröður Hansson came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sztorm Keflavik FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steinröður Hansson couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute, Sztorm Keflavik FC's Heiðrekur Vilmarsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. In the 75th minute Sören Almstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steinn Bjarmason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Steinröður Hansson took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Tor Grönberg to make any attempt to save it. Tor Grönberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steinröður Hansson in the 88th minute of play. Heiðrekur Vilmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Tor Grönberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd match minute, Sztorm Keflavik FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borgþór Georgsson to maneuver through the defense. The Lövnäs BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sztorm Keflavik FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
