After a defensive mix-up in SANFINS VLP's zone, Elodio Ghinescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Varanda came out of the goal and Elodio Ghinescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Radomil Redisz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rui Varanda to make any attempt to save it. In the 6th minute, Radomil Redisz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After a rather tough play, FC MCM's Mugur Jupâneanu got a free kick in the 16th minute. Rui Varanda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elodio Ghinescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SANFINS VLP getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Hilário Lopes hit a great ball. Rui Varanda was a little too slow when Radomil Redisz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 5-0. With an all-out effort, FC MCM's Rui Varanda threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elodio Ghinescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 30th play minutes Elodio Ghinescu shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Rui Varanda and just under the crossbar into goal. When FC MCM's Radomil Redisz in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SANFINS VLP's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Elodio Ghinescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rui Varanda. That made the score 8-0 in the 39 minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, SANFINS VLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albérico Ferrão to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

FC MCM's Allan Clementsson was substituted for Mugur Jupâneanu. FC MCM's Bogdan Agusoaei was substituted for Florin Gaciu. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Maciel was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Bogdan Agusoaei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Varanda was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. SANFINS VLP's Rui Varanda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Redisz in the 62nd minute of play. Manuel Tufescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Gueifão, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Radomil Redisz notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of SANFINS VLP's Rui Varanda. Rui Varanda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radomil Redisz in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Varanda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bogdan Agusoaei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Bogdan Agusoaei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varanda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Bogdan Agusoaei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC MCM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. 94 minutes into the game, Albert Pricop cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 15-0. Rui Varanda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rui Varanda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bogdan Agusoaei's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. There was no doubt that FC MCM were the better team. FC MCM's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
