Marquinhos Leme started the match with the kick off. 14 minutes into the match, Red John's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Catarinense came free, but Cássio Corinth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henrique Ramalho hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Cássio Corinth was a little too slow when Lúcio Catarinense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cássio Corinth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qiao Yan Jie in the 33rd minute of the match. After 34 minutes Red John's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Qiao Yan Jie who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to CRISDIELDAN getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alfredinho Sá hit a great ball. Rafael Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Porto having to interfere. The supporters of CRISDIELDAN booed when Red John was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Giggs didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ingvar Strand to make the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Marquinhos Leme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red John's Cássio Corinth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Red John made a substitution. Sebastian Bach replaced Ingvar Strand. Jakue Llave made in the 62nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ryan Giggs immediately put the ball in play. In the 68th minute, Vivaldo Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Red John's Ediberto Porto threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ryan Giggs, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cássio Corinth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marquinhos Leme in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Sebastian Bach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red John fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some careless play in the CRISDIELDAN defense, Sebastian Bach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ediberto Porto. The CRISDIELDAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ediberto Porto should have stopped the shot. The Red John supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red John would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
