When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelino Ramalho made a kick off. Aírton de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Válbson de Alcântara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hamílton Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Xie Ao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Motta Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Xie Ao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute, Bernardo Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Motta Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ligeiro F.C.
