Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrián Espadas in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aírton de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 13th match minute, Soroca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Zonta to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Iordanis Karatzaferis in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Motta Futebol Clube's Gilmar Garcia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Espadas in the 18th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aírton de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aírton de Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrián Espadas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, one of Motta Futebol Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Motta Futebol Clube. Aírton de Lima had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Natalio Mazuste's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Zézinho Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute Adrián Espadas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aírton de Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Adrián Espadas came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrián Espadas couldn't finish the play. Motta Futebol Clube's Dudu Hermes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dan Wennerqvist in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Adrián Espadas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilmar Garcia's late challenge caught a Soroca F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilmar Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Motta Futebol Clube's Gilmar Garcia got a free kick in the 39th minute. Amador Venceslao hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute, Dudu Hermes fired a really elegant long shot, but Dan Wennerqvist threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Soroca F.C.'s Dan Wennerqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Soroca F.C. from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Válbson de Alcântara made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Gilmar Garcia threw the ball into play from the sideline. Soroca F.C.'s Natalio Mazuste quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 60th match minute, Motta Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yuri Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Godofredo Quilino replaced Gustavo Tartalo. Yuri Carneiro hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Válbson de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 86th minute of play forced Motta Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Aírton de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Paulão Favoretto in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Soroca F.C.'s Zézinho Neiva. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Motta Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amador Venceslao was slow to take the kick. During this time Soroca F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Amador Venceslao made a great header on Soroca F.C.'s corner, it was just that Motta Futebol Clube's Aírton de Lima managed to reach the ball for a save. Válbson de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Wennerqvist having to interfere. Răzvan Necula struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Aírton de Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soroca F.C.. When the match was over Soroca F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Motta Futebol Clube throughout the match.
