Rodolfo Cordeiro started the match with the kick off. Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Transito in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Ligeiro F.C booed when Santa Maradona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corneliu Văcăroiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Transito in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Bernardo Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamílton Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Maradona's zone, Frank Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Errapel came out of the goal and Frank Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 26th minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hamílton Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Santa Maradona's Miguel Transito in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ligeiro F.C's goalie prevented a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adelino Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Miguel Transito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miguel Transito who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Hamílton Chaves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 60th play minutes Miguel Transito shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Hamílton Chaves and just under the crossbar into goal. Hamílton Chaves made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Miguel Transito sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Errapel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Ramalho in the 71st minute of the match. With a little luck, Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves got control of the ball when Rodolfo Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ligeiro F.C's Sandro Paulista was substituted for Adelino Ramalho. Santa Maradona's attentive Ratan Ayala managed to snatch the ball when Orlando Sampaio made a throw-in in the 77th minute of the game. Hamílton Chaves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Transito in the 78th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Transito got free with Hamílton Chaves in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Sustrai came free, but Hamílton Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santa Maradona's Jonathan Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Tasso in the 94th minute of play. The Ligeiro F.C fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Santa Maradona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
