After 73 played minutes, Alfa FC's Narciso Aparecido shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alfa FC reached it. Many of Alfa FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Alfa FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Ligeiro F.C were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
