The corner ended in Gil Paiva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Hermanos CIMZ's Wojciech Duda did a great save. Luis Pereira got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Benjamim Saldanha. In the 21st minute Mazinho Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Pérez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vladimir Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Valdir Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, Los Hermanos CIMZ's Mazinho Mazza made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. But to his dismay, Mazinho Mazza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Los Hermanos CIMZ fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Los Hermanos CIMZ's Mazinho Mazza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39th minute Mazinho Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Pérez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mazinho Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Valdir Pérez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Mazza struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Valdir Pérez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Hermanos CIMZ. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laércio Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the União Verde FC defense, Mazinho Mazza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdir Pérez. The União Verde FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdir Pérez should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in União Verde FC's zone, Mazinho Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Pérez came out of the goal and Mazinho Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdir Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the game, Los Hermanos CIMZ's Mazinho Mazza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Pérez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 68th minute, Mazinho Mazza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Pérez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. If Mazinho Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Los Hermanos CIMZ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than União Verde FC throughout the match.
