Onuralp Ergüden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio de Azevedo having to interfere. Sidnei Baptista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Baptista in the 10th minute of play forced BMB IMOVEIS SC's goalkeeper Sérgio de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sidnei Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Santos Campineiro booed when BMB IMOVEIS SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flóki van Dam didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 played minutes Santos Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Baloy. Ahmad Reza Asadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz Vides in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Sidnei Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidnei Baptista might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio de Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sidnei Baptista ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sidnei Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sérgio de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 minutes, Sidnei Baptista made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, BMB IMOVEIS SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Baptista came free, but Sérgio de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, one of Santos Campineiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santos Campineiro. Luís Fernando Tavares made a great header on BMB IMOVEIS SC's corner, it was just that Santos Campineiro's Ahmad Reza Asadi managed to reach the ball for a save. Régis Marinho's late challenge caught a Santos Campineiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Marinho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute, Régis Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidney Albuquerque to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney Albuquerque in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sérgio de Azevedo saved BMB IMOVEIS SC from getting behind. Sérgio de Azevedo made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Anibal Enekoitz sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio de Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Albuquerque in the 64th minute of the match. Santos Campineiro were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after BMB IMOVEIS SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cristiano Antunes took the corner. The corner ended in Cristiano Antunes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BMB IMOVEIS SC's Sérgio de Azevedo did a great save. Sidney Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Anibal Enekoitz took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Sérgio de Azevedo to make any attempt to save it. After 85 minutes, Mathias Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BMB IMOVEIS SC and the Santos Campineiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, BMB IMOVEIS SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Vidal to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute Sidney Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélder Melo during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
