The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fausto Arnau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Montez having to interfere. Villa Mitre's Roman Montez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Villa Mitre from getting a goal against them. The Club Atlético Burzaco fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Club Atlético Burzaco's Nereo Sesuldo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 13th minute Nereo Sesuldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Mitre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fausto Arnau was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Burzaco's players had a chance to rest. Segundo Berdoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Montez having to interfere. Roman Montez was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Fausto Arnau capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fausto Arnau really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Roman Montez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fausto Arnau's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute, Leandro Jenaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fausto Arnau did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 5-0 to the left of a surprised Roman Montez 44 minutes into the match. Roman Montez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Arnau went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Arnau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Club Atlético Burzaco got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Arnau. Roman Montez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Arnau in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Firman notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Villa Mitre's Roman Montez. Roman Montez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hermengildo Firman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Montez having to interfere. Roman Montez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Arnau in the 66th minute of the match. Roman Montez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fausto Arnau went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Roman Montez came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Burzaco's Hermengildo Firman. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Firman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Hermengildo Firman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético Burzaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermengildo Firman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Montez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80thth minute of the game Fausto Arnau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villa Mitre's Roman Montez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute Segundo Berdoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Tabby in the 96th minute of play forced Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Roman Montez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Burzaco's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
