The referee ignored Kashima Antlers's protests and gave Mustapha Saïd-Guerni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Kashima Antlers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustapha Saïd-Guerni to maneuver through the defense. Farès Zarabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Silvino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Javier Garin came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Barrancas live Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Javier Garin couldn't finish the play. Farès Zarabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Mendez in the 27th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kashima Antlers's Slimane Kraouche got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 32 played minutes Kashima Antlers got a freekick which was hit by Mustapha Saïd-Guerni. 34 minutes into the game, Joaquin Ignazio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Farès Zarabi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Robert Maroc was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. In the 43rd minute, Robert Maroc hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kashima Antlers's Farès Zarabi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Silvino in the 46th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Javier Garin to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Tahar Ramdani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kashima Antlers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrancas live Club the free kick. Farès Zarabi was a little too slow when Prudencio Mendez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Silvino got free with Farès Zarabi in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Kashima Antlers's Farès Zarabi got control of the ball when Javier Garin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vicente Xabat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faouzi Boniche in the 77th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Kamel Bella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kashima Antlers's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamel Bella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Xabat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Farès Zarabi made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Prudencio Mendez sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Prudencio Mendez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farès Zarabi was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Kashima Antlers defense, Joaquin Ignazio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Farès Zarabi. The Kashima Antlers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Farès Zarabi should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the match, Kashima Antlers's goalkeeper Farès Zarabi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Silvino. Kashima Antlers's Faouzi Boniche got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Faouzi Boniche off the ground. Vicente Xabat was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barrancas live Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
