The audience thought a goal was coming when Costel Busuioceanu got free with Horaţiu Nițoi in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Iulian Taşcu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horia Ostoici was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Zbanţ came free, but Horaţiu Nițoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liviu Răuţă in the 18th minute of play forced ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s goalkeeper Horia Ostoici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 played minutes -BZF- Barca de Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Panait Vochin. The long shot by Aurel Ologu in the 21st minute really tested Horaţiu Nițoi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panait Vochin in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horia Ostoici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Panait Vochin got his second yellow card of the match in the 27th minute. The referee ordered Panait Vochin off the ground. A collision led to -BZF- Barca de Buzau getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Panait Vochin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Barca de Buzau's zone, Aurel Ologu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horaţiu Nițoi came out of the goal and Aurel Ologu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, -BZF- Barca de Buzau's Sebastian Purje got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th match minute, -BZF- Barca de Buzau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basarab Achimescu to maneuver through the defense. Avram Aluculesei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Nițoi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Barca de Buzau's zone, Costel Busuioceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
