Danial Boon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Germano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's zone, Anacleto Admon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albino Maiorga came out of the goal and Anacleto Admon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Rene Luzea got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 46th minute Camilo Azubeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandre Tepedino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Danial Boon in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Germano saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after Club Atlético Atlanta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ezequiel Lluques took the corner. In the 54th minute, Danial Boon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Pomelo Nenene fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Deportivo Pomelo Nenene's Gaspar Pomelov was substituted for Alexandre Tepedino. Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liu Feng Guang in the 74th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Liu Feng Guang came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Deportivo Pomelo Nenene booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position.
