Astor Liher struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Venancio Bitxintxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Rio Cuarto. Astor Liher scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Venancio Bitxintxo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 11th minute by Astor Liher got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 12th minute, Amadeo Erasto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Venancio Bitxintxo. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 14th minute, Epifanio Orkatz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper Venancio Bitxintxo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Astor Liher. Omar Lovagnini charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Lovagnini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Lovagnini to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Atlético Rio Cuarto booed when Barrilete Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blas Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeo Erasto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Venancio Bitxintxo having to make a save. Amadeo Erasto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Venancio Bitxintxo made a huge save. In the 33rd match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Roldan to maneuver through the defense. Astor Liher came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Venancio Bitxintxo could save by the left post. Barrilete Cósmico's Venancio Bitxintxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Erasto in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amadeo Erasto made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Atlético Rio Cuarto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astor Liher to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Orkatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Lonzo having to interfere. A collision led to Atlético Rio Cuarto getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Marcelo Roldan hit a great ball. Epifanio Orkatz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Orkatz in the 55th minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Celso Lonzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Epifanio Orkatz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barrilete Cósmico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 61 minutes into the match, Atlético Rio Cuarto's Astor Liher sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Venancio Bitxintxo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Astor Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Bitxintxo having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Liher came free, but Venancio Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Bitxintxo came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Rio Cuarto's Astor Liher. But to his dismay, Astor Liher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 80 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Erasto came free, but Venancio Bitxintxo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venancio Bitxintxo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Erasto in the 82nd minute of play. Venancio Bitxintxo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amadeo Erasto went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Astor Liher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Venancio Bitxintxo having to make a save. Venancio Bitxintxo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeo Erasto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Liher in the 92nd minute of play forced Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper Venancio Bitxintxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amadeo Erasto in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Bitxintxo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
