Rammstein F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 雷益铮 ran over to the corner to take the kick. 20 minutes into the match, Smiddy Celts's goalkeeper Jesse McJames had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeronimo Tabb. Leandro Lenzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graeme McRobie in the 22nd minute of play. If Jeronimo Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as G.I.S.B. Rammstein F.C's Den Gale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jesse McJames. That made the score 1-0 after 25 minutes of play. Jesse McJames made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeronimo Tabb in the 30th minute. Graeme Gordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Leandro Lenzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Graeme McRobie put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leandro Lenzi. Jeronimo Tabb could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jesse McJames made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graeme Gordon during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Graeme Gordon kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Smiddy Celts's Mbadiwe Mpenza was substituted for Sean McDrain. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half.
