A collision led to FCSB CUENCA getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Carlos Pujol hit a great ball. Frances Jaraba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Cerezo in the 13th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Divina Comédia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Pujol came free, but Cristian Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frances Jaraba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdir da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, Divina Comédia FC's Valdir da Silva made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frances Jaraba was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Frances Jaraba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 26 minutes into the game, Carlos Pujol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Cristian Peres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Pujol got free with Cristian Peres in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Peres was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Marcio Carreira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcio Carreira really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aloísio Chulapa in the 32nd minute of play forced FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Frances Jaraba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FCSB CUENCA's Frances Jaraba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir da Silva in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Divina Comédia FC got a corner. FCSB CUENCA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Frank Rosado ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marcio Carreira hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. FCSB CUENCA's Eguzki Martinez got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, FCSB CUENCA's Marcio Carreira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Frances Jaraba came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Divina Comédia FC's Luiz Fabiano Gøl. But to his dismay, Luiz Fabiano Gøl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
Nilton Veiga's late challenge caught a FCSB CUENCA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilton Veiga helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Divina Comédia FC got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Veiga. After having played for 54 minutes, Carlos Pujol managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCSB CUENCA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Pujol was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir da Silva got free with Frances Jaraba in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Divina Comédia FC's Cristian Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Zărnescu in the 60th minute of play. Aloísio Chulapa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Frances Jaraba made a huge save. Frances Jaraba made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Aloísio Chulapa sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Divina Comédia FC defense, Carlos Pujol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Peres. The Divina Comédia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Peres should have stopped the shot. Eguzki Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Cristian Peres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Valdir da Silva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Frances Jaraba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Divina Comédia FC booed when FCSB CUENCA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcio Carreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. FCSB CUENCA were furious when Manuel Navarro was red carded, 80 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Rogério Ceni hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cristian Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Pujol, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Carlos Pujol scored 5-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristian Peres, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cristian Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eguzki Martinez in the 92nd minute of the match. José Paulo Negri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match. A collision led to Divina Comédia FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. José Paulo Negri hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Felix Zărnescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Pujol took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Peres. Cristian Peres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FCSB CUENCA fans cheered their team off the field, for while Divina Comédia FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
