Diguinho Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Clube do Remo MZ's Cléber Pinho got control of the ball when Víktor Cavalcante tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Breckenfeld came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Diguinho Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cléber Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Velloso didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Mineiro got free with Cléber Pinho in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Victor de Sena came free, but Grzegorz Siekierski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grzegorz Siekierski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GeRaÇãO-83's Grzegorz Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Sena in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Luiz Fabiano Duarte made the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Velloso. After 51 minutes of play, GeRaÇãO-83's Diguinho Mineiro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cléber Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Clube do Remo MZ players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented GeRaÇãO-83 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
