The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Catarinense got free with Cléber Pinho in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vinícius Mineiro made in the 5th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dogelo's Lico Catarinense. The supporters of Clube do Remo MZ booed when Dogelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Verón didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Manfredo Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube do Remo MZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Manfredo Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manúel Bento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Sena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manúel Bento. Dogelo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th minute Dogelo were awarded a corner. Ahmet Danış Garipbaş went to the cornerflag to take it. Ahmet Danış Garipbaş made a great header on Dogelo's corner, it was just that Clube do Remo MZ's Cléber Pinho managed to reach the ball for a save. Cléber Pinho made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Frank Catarinense sent off a good shot on target. Clube do Remo MZ's Cléber Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Catarinense in the 35th minute of play. Frank Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Cléber Pinho made a huge save. Manúel Bento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Frank Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléber Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Sebastián Verón was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dogelo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube do Remo MZ the free kick. After some careless play in the Clube do Remo MZ defense, Oliverios Marcilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléber Pinho. The Clube do Remo MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléber Pinho should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Sena in the 70th minute of play forced Dogelo's goalkeeper Manúel Bento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléber Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliverios Marcilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clube do Remo MZ's Cléber Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Tande in the 100th minute of play. The Clube do Remo MZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
