Remedios SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jean dos Santos came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki. But to his dismay, Eustaquio Jaizki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jean dos Santos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 20 minutes, Lázaro Cuartio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Atlanta and the Remedios SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Cuartio. 34 minutes into the match, Marcos Berdoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jean dos Santos. Remedios SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Berdoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 37th minute of play. Jean dos Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Berdoi went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. If Chivu Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes of play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Paolo Caradaro made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jean dos Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chivu Quintana was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Caradaro got free with Jean dos Santos in the 50th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute Virgílio Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Zanette in the 59th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes, Eustaquio Jaizki made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Remedios SC's Jean dos Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Marcos Berdoi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jean dos Santos, passed just outside the right post. Lázaro Cuartio was shown his second yellow card after 70 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 71st match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázaro Cuartio to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th match minute, Remedios SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 楚庭潮 to maneuver through the defense. Marcos Berdoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jean dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Club Atlético Atlanta's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcos Berdoi in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Marcos Berdoi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to Remedios SC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Horácio Maciel hit a great ball. Eustaquio Jaizki's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Jean dos Santos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Berdoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jean dos Santos. That made the score 0-11 in the 87 minute of play. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Remedios SC! When the final whistle sounded Club Atlético Atlanta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Remedios SC.
