After 15 minutes, Didi Couto made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FCSB CUENCA's Xano Menendez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Didi Couto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xano Menendez was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 21 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's Didi Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xano Menendez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dieguinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eguzki Martinez in the 24th minute of play. Dieguinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcio Carreira in the 25th minute of the match. Didi Couto struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Xano Menendez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GeRaÇãO-83. In the 32nd minute, Emilio Echeto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Didi Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Dieguinho Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Pujol. Xano Menendez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Mineiro in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Diguinho Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Diguinho Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xano Menendez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diguinho Mineiro in the 56th minute of play forced FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper Xano Menendez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as GeRaÇãO-83's Didi Couto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xano Menendez. That made the score 0-2 after 59 minutes of play. Didi Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xano Menendez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Didi Couto 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. FCSB CUENCA's Xano Menendez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FCSB CUENCA from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Didi Couto in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xano Menendez saved FCSB CUENCA from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Didi Couto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GeRaÇãO-83 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. FCSB CUENCA's Xano Menendez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save FCSB CUENCA from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's Didi Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xano Menendez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Diguinho Mineiro hit a great ball. Dieguinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Pujol in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FCSB CUENCA's Emilio Echeto got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The FCSB CUENCA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. GeRaÇãO-83 were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
