The ball went over the crossbar instead. 23 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Mai Bin Kuan came free, but Carlos Germano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Mai Bin Kuan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Carlos Germano. Marcos Berdoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Germano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mai Bin Kuan's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After 36 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Aquiles Oihenarte. Michel Čech made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Eustaquio Jaizki sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Marcos Berdoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Germano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mai Bin Kuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eustaquio Jaizki to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Pablo Ermengol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
