In the 4th minute Adelino Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Obano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Guang Chen in the 6th minute of play forced ALEXANDRIA's goalkeeper Godfredo Obano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barreal FC's goalkeeper Dário Tepedino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 11th minute of the match, Cipriano Marques got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dário Tepedino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Feliciano Itzaina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Tepedino having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Charilaos Mitsibonas suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. 22 minutes into the game, Pablo-Enrique Scholes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barreal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ALEXANDRIA the free kick. ALEXANDRIA's Anibal Matei was substituted for Charilaos Mitsibonas. Pablo-Enrique Scholes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Gervasio Chorache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervasio Chorache got free with Dário Tepedino in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
