An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Pirani in the 12th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Valdo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Penha to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Pedrão Pirani fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Valdo Catarinense, passed just outside the right post. Vítor Sousa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s Hernani Prata shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 24th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valdo Catarinense but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Mendonça in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Victor prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 30th minute, Igor Jesus made a precise shot to the right of Valdo Catarinense. SORRISO E. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 34th minute, Pedrão Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Júlio Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SORRISO E. C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ the free kick. Júlio Eger hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. During the 36th minute of the match Igor Jesus completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Igor Jesus a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Pedrão Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrão Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo Catarinense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Mendonça to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Valadares. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrão Pirani in the 68th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Valdo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of CANIL VON ZAATARI™️:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SORRISO E. C.:s goal. In the 81st minute, Rodrigo Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wanderson Paranaense fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s protests and gave Wanderson Paranaense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 82nd minute, Wanderson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Victor was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Horácio Pereira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Horácio Pereira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The SORRISO E. C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SORRISO E. C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
