Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Salles to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dieguinho Rossi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee showed Gilvan Paes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilvan Paes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 93 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ian Salles. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Merusca F&P - CIMZ fully deserved thier win.
