Artur Sergipano might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Artur Sergipano ran back to his position shaking his head. Didi Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo de Carvalho having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Sandro Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Arí Motta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnaldo de Carvalho. Goblins F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arí Motta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 25th minute, Zé Pedro Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Arí Motta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnaldo de Carvalho was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Goblins F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Melo came free, but Arnaldo de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes, AF CERRADO's Wellington Schmidt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnaldo de Carvalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AF CERRADO reached it. Arnaldo de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Didi Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

In the 51st minute, Arí Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnaldo de Carvalho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Arnaldo de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arí Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Arí Motta scored 4-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnaldo de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Goblins F.C.'s zone, Ezequiel Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The AF CERRADO fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when AF CERRADO's Arí Motta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Motta in the 84th minute of play forced Goblins F.C.'s goalkeeper Arnaldo de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Mandrak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vivaldo Munhoz in the 90th minute. Lúcio Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AF CERRADO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
