Luis Escobar started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Richie Ason during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, Armando Santotis made a precise shot to the right of Ruy Berger. ALIANZA 1901's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 11th minute, Sporting Chilcano's Fidele Gadea seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Fidele Gadea the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sporting Chilcano protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Fidele Gadea had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Lizardi Montanez went to the wrong direction when Luis Escobar was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Luis Escobar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lizardi Montanez. Sporting Chilcano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Escobar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 28thth minute of the game Richie Ason who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 32nd minute of play forced Sporting Chilcano's goalkeeper Lizardi Montanez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lizardi Montanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brais Lahoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Luis Escobar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lizardi Montanez having to make a save. Lizardi Montanez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richie Ason's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Lizardi Montanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Tomasini in the 42nd minute of play. After 46 played minutes ALIANZA 1901 got a freekick which was hit by Rojelio Daza. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Justo made a kick off. Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Chilcano from getting a goal against them. In the 54th minute Alfredo Tomasini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lizardi Montanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruy Berger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul Trielles went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Lizardi Montanez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredo Tomasini in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lizardi Montanez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Sporting Chilcano's Kevin Justo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Sporting Chilcano made a substitution. Jacinto Galguera replaced Paul Trielles. In the 68th minute, Kevin Justo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lizardi Montanez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Tomasini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baiarte Cerdeira fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 73rd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Sporting Chilcano's Lizardi Montanez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Chilcano from getting a goal against them. Jacinto Galguera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Berger having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 87th minute of play forced Sporting Chilcano's goalkeeper Lizardi Montanez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Sporting Chilcano got a freekick which was hit by Modesto Pita. Richie Ason kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd match minute, Sporting Chilcano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ponciano Gegunde to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
