Nesto Biempica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raimundo Narganes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thad Fisher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 minutes of play, Red Dragons's Thad Fisher made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raimundo Narganes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Charles Stewart kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jon Riesgo got free with Phillip Quintana in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nesto Biempica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Phillip Quintana made a huge save. 24 minutes into the game, Noah Collier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Dragons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mineros de Guayana FC the free kick. In the 25th minute, Noah Collier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Phillip Quintana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mineros de Guayana FC were furious when Tomi Cerrajero was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 31st minute, Bart Wyatt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raimundo Narganes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some careless play in the Mineros de Guayana FC defense, Jayson Faulk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raimundo Narganes. The Mineros de Guayana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raimundo Narganes should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Dragons's goalkeeper Phillip Quintana, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 37 minutes of play Red Dragons's Noah Collier was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Red Dragons getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Noah Collier hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Taboada in the 40th minute of play forced Red Dragons's goalkeeper Phillip Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jayson Faulk was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Mineros de Guayana FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Toro Olveira hit a great ball. Jayson Faulk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raimundo Narganes having to make a save. When Valiente Saribiarte fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mineros de Guayana FC's protests and gave Valiente Saribiarte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mineros de Guayana FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jorge Taboada hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Rich Rossi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raimundo Narganes. Rich Rossi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Jon Riesgo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. After having played for 67 minutes, Thad Fisher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Dragons's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thad Fisher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Narganes was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Rich Rossi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rich Rossi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Rich Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Red Dragons would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
