Ban Mea Larm were furious when Jumpol Jaruansuk was red carded, 52 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The audience was convinced that Ekkachai Khotchasing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ertaç Arıhan was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. When the match was over Doğu Atletik could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ban Mea Larm throughout the match.
