Pranas Užkuraitis started the match with the kick off. Fausto Mendonça scored 1-0 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petr Čech, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Batalhão do Peçanha's Barr Eira got a free kick in the 11th minute. The throw-in from Barr Eira in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Scarlet Speedster's Tomas Wallin. Pranas Užkuraitis might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naldo Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pranas Užkuraitis ran back to his position shaking his head. Naldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pranas Užkuraitis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pranas Užkuraitis went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute, Fausto Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scarlet Speedster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Raigo Vananurm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scarlet Speedster's supporters rose to their feet, but Raigo Vananurm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petr Čech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pranas Užkuraitis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Naldo Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Mendonça in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petr Čech prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raigo Vananurm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Pranas Užkuraitis came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Batalhão do Peçanha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pranas Užkuraitis couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute Batalhão do Peçanha were awarded a corner. Vânderson Vasconcelos went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Mendonça to make the kick off. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raigo Vananurm, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After having played for 57 minutes, Fausto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarlet Speedster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Fausto Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petr Čech. Batalhão do Peçanha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fausto Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Pranas Užkuraitis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença got control of the ball when Pranas Užkuraitis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pranas Užkuraitis took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Proença. Naldo Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Fausto Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 74th minute of play. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 76th minute of the match. Petr Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Pranas Užkuraitis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. The throw-in from Tomas Wallin in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Batalhão do Peçanha's Barr Eira. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Scarlet Speedster had won after a very even match.
