Scarlet Speedster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ludomil Ziomkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 14th minute of play. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Scarlet Speedster's Edward Krzynowek got a free kick in the 31st minute. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 36th minute of play. After some careless play in the Scarlet Speedster defense, Afonso da Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Proença. The Scarlet Speedster fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Proença should have stopped the shot. The throw-in from Dom Lugano in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Xande Campbell.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Mendonça was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Fausto Mendonça ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ludomil Ziomkowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. Gustavo da Silva replaced Virgiawan Laturua. In the 68th minute, Afonso da Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Naldo Proença. Scarlet Speedster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Breno Torres was substituted for Well-Well Junior. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Rambo von Buol-Schaudenstein was substituted for David Brás. 74 minutes into the game, Fausto Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Ludomil Ziomkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Breno Torres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Naldo Proença made a huge save. Ryszard Janiczek kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Torres in the 81st minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 83 minutes Scarlet Speedster's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gustavo da Silva who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Afonso da Cunha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Naldo Proença quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Breno Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Naldo Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo da Silva made a great header on CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's corner, it was just that Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 95 minutes, Afonso da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
