After a rather tough play, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Karel Otto got a free kick in the 35th minute. João Barone hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Didi Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mané Lara made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ogro F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mané Lara came free, but Alysson Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joinville United - FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Ogro F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Prospero Perfecto took the corner. Joinville United - FSCMZ made a substitution. Maurício Donatello replaced Mané Lara. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cavalera in the 77th minute of play forced Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Borys Gruchacz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Donatello in the 78th minute of play forced Ogro F.C.'s goalkeeper Alysson Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Joinville United - FSCMZ's Prospero Perfecto to fire away a dangerous shot which Alysson Rezende despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 82nd minute Alesandro Coutinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alysson Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicko McBrain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Borys Gruchacz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Borys Gruchacz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Vergílio in the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Zimmermann came free, but Borys Gruchacz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Minnemann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Borys Gruchacz made a huge save.
