Bin Shevchenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ysmael Marfil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Giovani Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ysmael Marfil having to interfere. Dorin Agârbiceanu got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Claudio Cina. In the 19th minute, Dorin Agârbiceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the match, DINAMO's goal looked a bit too open when Bin Shevchenko came free, but Ysmael Marfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Barros in the 23rd minute of the match. Luiz Fábio Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ryszard Borcz went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ysmael Marfil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 28th minute of the match. Ysmael Marfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, DINAMO's Ryszard Borcz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fábio Leite made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Barros in the 36th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fábio Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Borcz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Bin Shevchenko scored 2-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ysmael Marfil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Jaime Barros made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. Blumenau Esporte Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bin Shevchenko made a kick off. After 52 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Moise Vlădean. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Ryszard Borcz took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Luiz Fábio Leite to make any attempt to save it. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Bin Shevchenko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ysmael Marfil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryszard Borcz in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute of the match, Ryszard Borcz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luiz Fábio Leite was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bin Shevchenko struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ysmael Marfil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blumenau Esporte Clube. The supporters of Blumenau Esporte Clube booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Agârbiceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fábio Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryszard Borcz, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Moise Vlădean came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luiz Fábio Leite could save by the left post. Giovani Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Ysmael Marfil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Agârbiceanu. Ysmael Marfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bin Shevchenko in the 86th minute of play. The throw-in from Dorin Agârbiceanu in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Xandinho Sharkin. Dino Félix hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. DINAMO's Ysmael Marfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bin Shevchenko in the 95th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ryszard Borcz got free with Luiz Fábio Leite in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Blumenau Esporte Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. DINAMO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
