Aníbal Alagoano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmund Dulemba came out and tried to block the shot, but Aníbal Alagoano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 20th minute. Erhan Sarıoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seaman having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Dos Reis came free, but David Seaman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Türk Polis Gücü were awarded a corner. Yngve Lindqvist went to the cornerflag to take it. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 52nd minute Zé Dos Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seaman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Börje Kämpe with Vinicio Junior as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Altan Erben kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Edmund Dulemba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Raphael Cunha put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edmund Dulemba. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jenipapo SC had won after a very even match.
