Joe Tate scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hugo Orlando Gatti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fagildo Pamanes in the 12th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun got control of the ball when Bolo Bolaño tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Consejo del Mate booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Savion didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bolo Bolaño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Fagildo Pamanes got a free kick in the 21st minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Emílio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmond Verdun made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Danilo Gomesano sent off a good shot on target. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Errecaborda AFC's Emílio Terra. But to his dismay, Emílio Terra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hernan Quinton during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hernan Quinton hit a great ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emílio Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun got control of the ball when Danilo Gomesano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Errecaborda AFC's Joe Tate made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Orlando Gatti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Errecaborda AFC's Pastor Ado got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joe Tate to make the kick off. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emílio Terra in the 53rd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Prospero Jerardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmond Verdun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Betadur in the 55th minute of play. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Betadur in the 56th minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Rameriz, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Errecaborda AFC got a corner. Consejo del Mate's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emílio Terra ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Emílio Terra almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti did a great save. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Terra in the 63rd minute of play. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prospero Jerardo in the 66th minute of the match. Errecaborda AFC's Isidro Gines was substituted for Emílio Terra. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidro Gines in the 86th minute of the match. If Fagildo Pamanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Betadur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Edmond Verdun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmond Verdun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peyo Fonelleda, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute of the match, Joe Tate tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hugo Orlando Gatti saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 96th minute Peyo Fonelleda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Consejo del Mate supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Errecaborda AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Errecaborda AFC.
