Prospero Perico received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Orlando Gatti came out and tried to block the shot, but Prospero Perico slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bolo Bolaño in the 13th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Prospero Perico got free with Hugo Orlando Gatti in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Cheche in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Lobos de Carelia booed when Consejo del Mate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Štefan Hlavica didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Aquiles Cordero got a free kick in the 26th minute. When Cleto Confesor came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Lobos de Carelia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cleto Confesor couldn't finish the play. Danilo Gomesano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Cortez having to interfere. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amancio Cheche's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Hugo Orlando Gatti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Prospero Perico went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Lobos de Carelia's zone, Danilo Gomesano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Cortez came out of the goal and Danilo Gomesano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Fagildo Pamanes made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Santo Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hugo Orlando Gatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Perico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute of the match Cleto Confesor sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Orlando Gatti skillfully saved the ball. In the 62nd minute Lobos de Carelia were awarded a corner. Cleto Confesor went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Lobos de Carelia's Cleto Confesor to fire away a dangerous shot which Hugo Orlando Gatti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Gomesano in the 63rd minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Gomesano in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Cheche came free, but Hugo Orlando Gatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Cheche in the 70th minute of the match.
