In the 18th minute, Vladimiro Millano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurino Serena was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erlantz Bermejo in the 20th minute of the match. Maurino Serena came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos de Carelia's Pavao Zadro. But to his dismay, Pavao Zadro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Lobos de Carelia's zone, Erlantz Bermejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Cortez came out of the goal and Erlantz Bermejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Millano in the 30th minute of play. Lobos de Carelia's Nestor Cortez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Lobos de Carelia from getting a goal against them. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Millano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Nestor Cortez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Vadillos. A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavao Zadro in the 44th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pavao Zadro to make the kick off. Alcorcón's Laurin Mangas got a free kick in the 80th minute. The supporters of Lobos de Carelia booed when A.D. Alcorcón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurin Mangas didn't get a good kick on the ball.
