After 4 minutes of play, Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arkadiusz Kostka was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 7 minutes, Daniel Hatman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MARKUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Hatman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arkadiusz Kostka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Maradona in the 10th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Matias Bilintx's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arkadiusz Kostka was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matias Bilintx in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arkadiusz Kostka prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arkadiusz Kostka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Matias Bilintx put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arkadiusz Kostka. When Diego Maradona came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Maradona couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the match, Piotr Japola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Óscar Cordoba. Sporting de Gijón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Piotr Japola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Arkadiusz Kostka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matias Bilintx's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Maradona in the 40th minute of play forced FC MARKUS's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Kostka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arkadiusz Kostka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Bilintx, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The audience was convinced that Diego Maradona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arkadiusz Kostka was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Diego Maradona sped through FC MARKUS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arkadiusz Kostka. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gandalf Head to strike the kick off in the second half. Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teobald Jeziorkowski in the 51st minute of play. Óscar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gandalf Head, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. FC MARKUS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zbigniew Gendolla in the 62nd minute. Diego Maradona who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Arkadiusz Kostka when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 65th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Venancio Emesto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arkadiusz Kostka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matias Bilintx in the 71st minute. Matias Bilintxs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Arkadiusz Kostka to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arkadiusz Kostka came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gijón's Matias Bilintx. But to his dismay, Matias Bilintx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Atilano Feo replaced Carlo Crema. In the 82nd minute of the match Sporting de Gijón got a corner. FC MARKUS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabriel Diaz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gabriel Diaz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC MARKUS's Arkadiusz Kostka did a great save. Matias Bilintx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 85 minutes, Matias Bilintx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arkadiusz Kostka made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Mario Zanabria sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, FC MARKUS's Lukasz Jaszyna seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lukasz Jaszyna the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC MARKUS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lukasz Jaszyna had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC MARKUS! In the 94th minute, the referee gave Sporting de Gijón a penalty. Gabriel Diaz looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Arkadiusz Kostka.
