In the 32nd minute Nykteus Kouches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean-Marie Van Bever saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Belgium's Jean-Marie Van Bever proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Belgium from getting a goal against them. Pavlos Galanopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Jean-Marie Van Bever when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 36 minutes into the match, U21 Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Nykteus Kouches came free, but Jean-Marie Van Bever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
