The referee felt a red card was in order, 18 minutes into the game, when Mariusz Truskovskiy put in a rough tackle. Tanek Wojtyna had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Lorik Cana's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Thanks to some nice moves Stamen Šiškov could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which Tanek Wojtyna however easily saved by the left post. If Zdzislaw Rydzewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Špend Bošnjaku hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The U21 Poland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanek Wojtyna should have stopped the shot. U21 Poland's Witold Bycofski got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Witold Bycofski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Witold Bycofski took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Fidan Tanasievski to make any attempt to save it. In the 97th minute U21 Poland were awarded a corner. Zdzislaw Rydzewski went to the cornerflag to take it.
