Lucio Jado took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petros Vasdekis. Petros Vasdekis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Petros Vasdekis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Jado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match, Loukas Kallitsis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to U21 Ecuador getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Beto Araujo hit a great ball. Vitor Senqui's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petros Vasdekis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Ilias Charidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Victor Peres made a precise shot to the right of Petros Vasdekis. U21 Greece's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Petros Vasdekis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitor Senqui in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to U21 Greece getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Anastasios Kazatzidis hit a great ball. U21 Ecuador's Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukas Kallitsis in the 27th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Loukas Kallitsis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos. The goal made the score 1-2. Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukas Kallitsis in the 36th minute of play. Beto Araujo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Loukas Kallitsis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petros Vasdekis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Jado in the 41st minute of the match. U21 Ecuador's Lucio Jado managed to work through U21 Greece's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lucio Jado dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 44th minute Victor Peres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petros Vasdekis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to U21 Greece getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Stathis Giannopoulos hit a great ball. U21 Ecuador's Villafuerte Aramoyana was substituted for Victor Peres. U21 Ecuador's Fabian Sopena was substituted for Vitor Senqui. The U21 Greece players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Ecuador were winning 1-2.

With a little luck, U21 Greece's Petros Vasdekis got control of the ball when Villafuerte Aramoyana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loukas Kallitsis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erli Haaland in the 69th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the game, Villafuerte Aramoyana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Petros Vasdekis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. U21 Greece made a substitution. Lakis Xanthis replaced Vassilis Kopsokefalos. 81 minutes into the match, U21 Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitris Peravrechidis came free, but Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's goalkeeper Petros Vasdekis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Villafuerte Aramoyana. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilias Charidis in the 96th minute of play forced U21 Ecuador's goalkeeper Julian De La Rosa-Zevallos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Ecuador were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over U21 Greece's much stronger midfield.
