Alo Hurt started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, U21 Estonia's Robi Rahusoo got control of the ball when Erli Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 Estonia's Robi Rahusoo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Estonia from getting a goal against them. After 13 played minutes U21 Greece got a freekick which was hit by Iason Dimitratos. If Elmut Kaarna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Erli Haaland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robi Rahusoo having to make a save. With 19 minutes on the clock, Janek Õige commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 19 played minutes U21 Estonia got a freekick which was hit by Janek Õige. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Estonia's goalkeeper Robi Rahusoo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's Erli Haaland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robi Rahusoo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U21 Greece's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Argyris Tsaousidis in the 25th minute. It was a well-played corner which Makis Apostolakis managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Elmut Kaarna hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Argyris Tsaousidis shot a long shot in the 28th minute and a light blocked Robi Rahusoo hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ilias Charidis in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robi Rahusoo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stergios Samartzis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alo Hurt in the 35th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ilias Charidis in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robi Rahusoo saved U21 Estonia from getting behind. The supporters of U21 Estonia booed when U21 Greece was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Kopsokefalos didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Zacharias Kaligas in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Estonia's Elmut Kaarna.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ilias Charidis made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Alo Hurt made a precise shot to the right of Stergios Samartzis. U21 Greece's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 62 minutes of play, U21 Greece's Argyris Tsaousidis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. U21 Estonia's Robi Rahusoo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Peravrechidis in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to U21 Estonia getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Sergo Kesa hit a great ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the U21 Greece players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
