Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) Léon Cailleaux started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Stojmen Tujković showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thierry Lhermite in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 minutes, Léon Cailleaux made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Serbia's Stojmen Tujković tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Léon Cailleaux in the 11th minute of play forced U21 Serbia's goalkeeper Stojmen Tujković to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stojmen Tujković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaud Clément in the 17th minute of play. Arnaud Clément took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stojmen Tujković. Stojmen Tujković dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. U21 France's Felix Poggi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Junior Shevchenko in the 20th minute of play. Stojmen Tujković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léon Cailleaux in the 23rd minute of play. Junior Shevchenko's late challenge caught a U21 France's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Junior Shevchenko helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, U21 Serbia's Junior Shevchenko got a free kick in the 24th minute. U21 Serbia's Stojmen Tujković played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaud Clément in the 25th minute of play. Stojmen Tujković showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Le Saint in the 28th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Pierre Le Saint had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stojmen Tujković. U21 Serbia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pierre Le Saint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pierre Le Saint in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stojmen Tujković prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With 45 minutes on the clock, Hugo Châtelin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 France fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Felix Poggi, was totally fooled by U21 Serbia's Junior Shevchenko, who 47 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After the first half U21 France were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Junior Shevchenko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Thierry Lhermite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnaud Clément took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stojmen Tujković. Stojmen Tujković dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Felix Poggi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Junior Shevchenko in the 59th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Léon Cailleaux got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. U21 Serbia made a substitution. Mihajlo Stankić replaced Zdravko Kuzmanović. U21 France made a substitution. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak replaced Léon Cailleaux. In the 68th minute Jean-Marc Kazmierczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stojmen Tujković saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, U21 Serbia's Stojmen Tujković got control of the ball when Jean-Marc Kazmierczak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 72nd minute Junior Shevchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Poggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Poggi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Voja Vučinić in the 73rd minute of play. Stojmen Tujković made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaud Clément in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Arnaud Clément managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 France's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnaud Clément was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stojmen Tujković breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U21 Serbia made a substitution. Tomislav Rušić replaced Bogdan Trailović. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Serbia's zone, Jean-Marc Kazmierczak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stojmen Tujković came out of the goal and Jean-Marc Kazmierczak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When U21 Serbia's Junior Shevchenko in 89 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Felix Poggi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. U21 Serbia's Stojmen Tujković proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save U21 Serbia from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Jean-Marc Kazmierczak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stojmen Tujković was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. After 99 minutes U21 Serbia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arnaud Clément who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Thierry Lhermite got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stojmen Tujković quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The U21 France supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U21 France would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
