In the 13th match minute, U21 Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berbiz Elguea to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Buccella came free, but Koldobika Aponte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Buccella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. U21 Colombia's Koldobika Aponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Buccella in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Italy's goalkeeper Fabio Santilli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. U21 Colombia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bonifaco Sovera in the 20th minute. In the 22nd match minute, U21 Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Balzani to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes U21 Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bonifaco Sovera who took care of the corner kick. Ciro Buccella scored 0-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Koldobika Aponte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Buccella came free, but Koldobika Aponte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Ciro Buccella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Koldobika Aponte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Buccella in the 34th minute of play. Koldobika Aponte came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Italy's Ciro Buccella. But to his dismay, Ciro Buccella quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 39th minute, Fortunato Brini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The U21 Colombia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Italy were winning 0-2.

U21 Colombia's Lidon Bernardo was substituted for Bonifaco Sovera. U21 Colombia made a substitution. Bernardo Sigler replaced Zeru Mezquita. U21 Colombia's Jurdan Pinillas was substituted for Berbiz Elguea. The wind increased when Lidon Bernardo made the kick off in the second half. If Ciro Buccella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Lidon Bernardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Santilli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When U21 Colombia's Lidon Bernardo in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Italy's goalie prevented a goal. Koldobika Aponte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Buccella, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Bernardo Sigler made in the 68th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zlatan Lewandowski immediately put the ball in play. 75 minutes into the match, U21 Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Buccella came free, but Koldobika Aponte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Italy's Fabio Santilli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatan Lewandowski in the 81st minute of play. Alexander Testa's late challenge caught a U21 Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Testa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st minute of the match Lidon Bernardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabio Santilli showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ciro Buccella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Jurdan Pinillas in the 96th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by U21 Italy's Fortunato Brini. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Koldobika Aponte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The U21 Colombia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching U21 Italy's performance. The match ended with a win for U21 Italy.
